The Eyes Have It

My apologies for yet more bird pics but after an absence of a couple of months, the two King Parrots came down for a snack today and the male demanded a starring role. The hen bird who is a bit skittish didn't stay long but the cock bird posed for a few photos. Only a small amount of crop on this pic.
A great looking bird

oh wow, you get them in your garden? How amazing!! We first encountered them in the Bunya Mountains, South of here & then again at Cania Gorge, North of here but we don't seem to get them here. You're so lucky to have them.

Such a soft, friendly eye. This beauty looks like he would be so easy to tame.

Fantastic shot. The eyes have it indeed. A chap who came to our photo club to give a talk (and does a lot of nature photography) said always focus on the eye and you have done this perfectly. Stunning.

Please, no apologies necessary for sharing bird pictures! It's a treat to see the many parrots that visit your yard. I can well imagine the thrill of seeing this King Parrot and his mate after an absence. You would be wondering if they didn't end looking rather like that lizard from a few days ago. Amazing colors these birds have, as well as a very intensely colored eye. (or eyes, since I assume it has two).
