The Best Flower of All!! by terryliv

The Best Flower of All!!

What? I hear you say. They are rubbish. Well yes but those tiny green balls in the midst of the flowers are this seasons MANGOES.
These are almost certainly the king of the Mango varieties, Kensington Pride, usually referred to as Bowen Mangoes.
Oddly enough, mangoes don't like rain during early spring when they are flowering and setting fruit since the rain knocks the flowers off. It has been very dry this spring so it looks like being a bumper crop. WooHoo!!
I agree, mangoes are the best. When they are in season I can't leave the shop without picking up a couple.

Quite neat enlarged. I've never seen a mango tree - that tree is loaded with those little green balls! Should be a good time at your house. Thanks for broadening my world - again.

@peterlgrave I couldn't find your pic Peter. No I don't think so. We used to have a tree in the back yard and we had trouble with the possums.
