We haven't seen him for certain since (I am pretty certain he wasn't one of the four recent visitors)but on Tuesday he suddenly reappeared, - in our Family Room. I was getting lunch and in my own little world when there was this loud kook kook kook kook, the start of the Kookaburras distinctive laugh (Aussies will know the sound). After I had returned from hitting my head on the ceiling, I looked around and he was sitting on my chair watching me. I don't know how long he had been there but obviously because I had not noticed him, he decided to let me know he was waiting. I gave him some food and off he went.
He returned late in the afternoon and flew straight in and landed on the chair again. This time I was able to get some pics of him.
If this isn't just the coolest thing, that you've got a little buddy in this Kooka. Perhaps he'd be willing to wear one of those Go-Pro cameras so you'd know where he goes when he leaves your place.
Watching TV without a care.
Feed me Poppo, feed me Poppo!
