Arguably, the most famous hotel in Australia. Don't know if other Oz 365ers would agree with me but I reckon that the Birdsville Hotel would be the most instantly recognised or the one that most people would be able to name.
I had to wait until the next morning to get a good shot of the pub. Too many fourbies parked out the from the previous night. I reckon they should ban parking out the front so us photographers could get a free shot at it. As I said fairly loudly back in the bar, "I didn't wait 70 years and drive 2,000 kms to take a photo of a bloody Landcruiser". Now that turned few heads. :-)
Actually it is the first time I've focussed on "the pub" . Previously I've only seen it surrounded by the crowds at the Birdsville races. Great to see it in all its glory.
