The bustling township of Innamincka, population 12 has a pub, a store that sells petrol and a museum. Even so, it is the largest town for many hundreds of kilometres.
@cejaanderson Apparently there are 12 permanent Jane. I would imagine during the cooler months when tourists visit, there would be quite a few more itinerant workers. There are always a good number of overseas, mainly European, kids who are on working visas at this sort of place. It is so different from where they come from. They love it
Nice little place. Hard to believe pub, store and museum could survive with so few people. There must be a lot of transport cost on getting everything to there.
