After all the color in yesterday's shot, I decided to go back to my comfort zone today, high contrast black and white.
This was taken from the top of a parking garage at Navy Pier, I had read online that this was a great place to take shots from, it took me nearly 30 minutes to figure out how to get up there definitely worth the time. I now am eager to check out more parking garages downtown, definitely gives you a different view of the city.
There was a meetup that did parking garages but I couldn't go. I'd love a photo walk like that as I'm not sure how many I feel comfortable exploring on my own. This shot is absolutely fantastic!! Fav.
@taffy I have to admit that there was not a car in sight when I was up there and it was a little creepy being alone so I did not stay too long. I have told my son I am recruiting him as my security over his Xmas break for some parking garage shots and also I want to do a long exposure capture from the Lincoln Park pedestrian bridge, or maybe you and I can back each other up before that.
@taffy I am doing Open House, hopefully both days. On Saturday with my daughter, not sure where yet, but then most likely in the loop on Sunday. Just about to become a CAF member so I can miss the lines.
@ukandie1 Yep - a wonderful one. It was so empty there last night after the play (by then it was about 10:30pm and I saw almost no one patrolling. Too late for us to go then, but after dark in winter, we may have a better shot at using tripods!
