Speaking of Tulips... by vera365

Speaking of Tulips...

.... this one appeared to be just at the right amount of "deadness" today to be photographed. :) Please view on black if time permits.
Thank you for your visits, comments and critique!
@pistache Once I started to think about tulips, there is no way of stopping anymore :) Your fault!

beautifully captured Vera. Fav

I'm really intrigued by the phrase "just enough deadness" I'm a big fan of decaying flowers. Oh and nice pic.

Really like this. It has an abstract feel to it but then I see the tulip.

I enjoy your processing of this high key image.

Oh how lovely. They're the flowers that just keep on giving (though I may well have said that about hydrangeas before) ;)

Beautiful. Inspired by the work of Imogen Cunningham?
February 19th, 2016
Really beautiful.

@fotoblah :) I so much wish to say - YES, absolutely, it was inspired by Imogen Cunningham! :) But as much as I admire her work, I didn't think about it while taking the picture. Maybe subconsciously? :)

Lol, right amount of 'deadness' made me chuckle! Wonderful shot, looks super on black.

@vera365 I once read working through conscious inspiration is an excellent way to learn technique and a new way of seeing. Unconscious inspiration means it's working through you. Both lead to creativity. If you're a songwriter, unconscious inspiration leads to lawsuits =8-0
