Calm before the storm...

Final day of house preparation, all painted and clean... Wish me luck this coming week, because:
a) kid's school and daycare doesn't start for another week, and
b) have tons of long events at work all week I can't skip (prepare for long workshop, kids!, and be quiet)
c) husband out of town ALL week,

AND

d) our giant container is being delivered on Thursday/Friday.

Enough said.

P.S. - Just noticed in the photo the very retro-looking flowers on the wallpaper in the kitchen that we inherited from previous owners and never got a chance to do anything about. In the real life, we don't even notice them - only now in the picture :)

@summerfield Please do!!! I suck at decorating, finding uses for windows, making it all look homey and cozy - Even the color for this room was picked by a friend of mine from Russia... online. And it worked much better than anything I would have picked in person.

Thank you for stopping by and commenting! I am (un)happy to report that this beautiful calmness is no more. Hundreds of items, tons of wrapping paper, things are everywhere but where they should be, narrow winding passes between piles.... hopefully it will get better soon :) The container is unloaded and we will finally move in in a day or two.
