A bit fragile

To kill some time between two events me and the kiddos stopped at the university library's exhibit hall. This is one of the 2000-year old papyrus documents currently on display there.
Thanks for visiting!

This is incredible!! This writing must be so fragile, what magic to be able to see it in person. Where is this?

You have to know the language to be able to see what it says - would be so interesting! Good to see here!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

@jack4john - Indeed, it's very humbling to be looking at it knowing that this piece of whatever it is has been here way way way longer that you. And probably will be here way way longer than you will.

@izzyromilly Of course, it was in a glass case, far away from harm of anything. This is University of Michigan's graduate library - a wonderful place that makes studying/working here a real pleasure. Great stuff, unlimited capabilities and such bonuses as the one in this picture on the side :)
