... unlike our day. We awoke this morning to discover that the campsite where we had intended to spend a couple of days was in fact closing at 12pm so we had to pack up and leave quickly. Another possibility was also closing so we parked up at a nearby village - Aouste sur Sye - to consider our options. We were due to lunch with friends who live here so we had to make some quick decisions. I took 10 minutes out to wander round this quaint little village - this is a snap of a little courtyard that I rather liked.
We are currently installed at another camp-site a few kilometres away 'enjoying' yet another storm of which there have been several today. This photo is not to the standard to which I usually aspire but it is all I have worth posting. My only consolation is that processing wouldn't have improved it ;-))
I actually love the image with all its lights and shadows. The cheerful shutters and old stones make me long to return to France. We've visited several times and have loved every minute of our time there! I hope some peace returns to your travels, Richard.
I kind of like this. It has a French country charm to it. Sounds like your having a bit of bad luck. Glad you were able to find a new place to lay your head. Sorry about all the storms.
I think it's lovely and very French. Hope your weather improves. Today we are setting off to Littlehampton in Sussex for a few days B&B by the seaside - the sky here is ominous!
I think you're very brave following a SOOC month - I rely so heavily on processing - sometimes so the photo looks like what I saw in my mind's eye and sometimes just because I like a fairly processed look.
Lovely, great shadows, light and color. Actually Richard this is so serene and evocative of peace and calm. Camera magic!
Question are you using the Fuji 35 mm f/1.4. Reason asking it really has trouble focusing on my XE-2
@tosee Yes Tom, for the challenge period I'm using either the XT-10 with the 35mm f/1.4 or the Nikon D750 with 50mm f1/1.4 - The XT-10 focusses quickly and accurately with this lens.
