On my frequent walks through Paimpont Forest, I often take pictures looking up into the tree tops, but I'm never happy with them so they don't get posted. This one from late this afternoon displeased me less than usual, so it's my 365 post for today... it was either this or a sunset ;~}
I was trying to see how wide your lens is....maybe something wider would give it more tilt....maybe use a fisheye like Taffy @taffy does sometimes?! I see many dramatic possibilities here....
@panthora Wow, that's quite some visit you made! Thank you for all your thoughtful comments and Favs - I do appreciate them enormously.
A propos this photo, you may well be right. This one was taken with a 24mm lens and I do have an 8mm recti-linear fish-eye which is 12mm equivalent on an APS-C camera - I would need to try it in part of the forest where the trees are much closer together though, I think. Thank you for the idea.
the trees almost look cut out. This kind of shot just makes you wonder. Why exactly do trees feel compelled to grow up and up and up? Isn't life down here good enough for them? (not real questions, just stream of thought provoked by picture)
@francoise I expected a thoughtful reply from you Françoise, knowing that we share a common love of trees, woodlands and forests. I've half a mind to do a bit of a project on Paimpont Forest next year - I'll let that idea mull for a bit I think and see if it shapes up at all.
