@365anne Anne its not boring, if you'd cropped it equal all the way around might make it more dynamic, Have you tried to light paint?? Instead of a static light, have a longish shutter speed, small aperture and waggle a lamp (I use a desk lamp!) over it, you get fabulous shadows and light. thts how I lit yesterdays spoon of sugar!
You mention reflection to Yolnda, If you can get an old sheet of glass (from a picture frame but be carful can be sharp and the blood shows up on the photo!) and stand that on your dark cloth and then shoot for reflections. Still life is tediouos to set up and what I love about this is they are all looking at the same thing and I wantt to know what!!!
