Storytelling

I am training in a new storytelling method and tried it out for the first time with some youngsters at junior church this morning. Once I had told the story they had a choice of activites and two girls chose to recreate the story for themselves using the equipment from the story telling box

If the story was about the disciples who went out in the boat and not catching anything then Jesus standing on the shore, telling them to put the net on the other side and bringing in 153 fishes (John 21) then our two churches are on the same lectionary schedule. (And the girls did a good job of almost telling the whole story.)
