Karly (my dog:) and I took a beautiful hike in the snow today. The yellow tree in the photo is a Larch or it is sometimes called a Tamarack. They have needles and they turn golden in the fall and then drop. Our snow arrived so suddenly the larch are still holding onto their needles!
@jessikapanteleios I can't believe it either, Jessika:) Thank you for your nice comment. @gardenfolk It wasn't terribly cold if bundled up! And it was beautiful:) Thanks for commenting - appreciate it! @joansmor Hackmatacks? Never heard them called that! Thank you for your nice compliment. @milaniet The snow is heavy - lots of trees bent way over from the weight! @dmdfday@skipt07@fayefaye@littleconnie Thank you so very much for your kind thoughts. @thewatersphotos Yes...it came yesterday - too soon:)

@gazzatron It does look cold but really, with a few layers on, it's lovely to tromp around in with the company of a good dog:)
