I've never seen new cones this color before - must be the particular species of tree. I saw this at Bibler gardens and am unfamiliar with this type of tree.
Very nice close-up and just that little touch of bokeh. That is really quite an unusual pinecone - wonder when/if it turns colors? Pretty neat spotting.
