Happy New Year All! Another Flathead Lake shot - west shore. I should have warned you long ago that this is one of my favorite spots and will figure often in my posts! Walking and exploring here today with my dog - we found a new hiking trail - Yippee!!
The first time I saw Flathead I couldn’t believe how long it was. We were driving to Glacier from Missoula and honestly it seemed we drove forever with the lake running alongside the road. Cherry trees were laying over into the lake, loaded with cherries. I was stunned at the beauty. I can’t imagine being able to go to Flathead any time you want to. This is a beautiful scene.
@louannwarren I agree Lou Ann - it is a huge lake. It is about 30 miles around so about 15 miles if you travel on the east side (or the west) to go from the southern tip (which you would have, traveling from Missoula) to the northern end.
That's got to be on my list for this fall (hopefully) Did get my first Covid vaccine shot yesterday so fingers crossed for travel this year. The rocks here are so neat.
