I’ve been looking in the hedgerows for some sloes to make some sloe gin and sloe rum for a Christmas treat. I found some today just need to let them ripen a little more. They remind me of an olive tree.
@fbailey hi, yes you prick them first and then mix in some sugar berries and alcohol. Just give the bottles a shake every week or so until the sugar has gone and then strain through a cloth. 😊 very nice homemade.
