Bicycling is hugely popular in this part of Arizona. Regrettably, when cyclists and cars share the road, tragic accidents can happen. Oftentimes the site of such an accident is memorialized by family and friends with a "ghost bicycle," such as the one you see here. The cyclist has died. The driver lives on with the knowledge that they have contributed to the death of someone--a tragedy in its own way.
