We have today had to euthanised all remaining puppies , due to there being a major health issue and the possibility of all having some degree of this ,
It is Hydrocephalus (water on the Brain) Ive seen this in babies over my nursing years but never did I realise it could happen in animals .
It has been a very distressful time .

@agedrunner I'm sorry but this has been eating at me all day so I have to say something - your comment of 'Awesome picture' is, for me, in extremely bad taste. This is the last picture of eight four week old puppies who have just had to be put to sleep as a result of a congenital condition. You made the same comment a few days ago on a picture of Pippa, the runt of the litter, who had died over the weekend. I'm assuming that you Faved the image without looking at the commentary as when you give out around a 100 Favs a day, there can't be much thought involved. In the event that you had read the commentary, I'm at a loss to know why you would have made such a comment. @Dawn

Yes this is 2 pic of puppies however we had a 2nd pup become extremely unwell on Tuesday and on him having an autopsy found he had only an outer membrane which was fill with fluid .

How terrible. So heartbreaking for you and for the puppies mum who won't understand where they've gone. I don't know how you coped taking those beauties to be put to sleep. I couldn't do it but I understand why it was done.My thoughts are with you. xxxx
oh Dawn I'm sorry - heartbreaking. But I really applaud you for doing the best thing for them - they had a wonderful short life and you spared them a horrible type of decline. Thank you for sharing this
@koalagardens Hello there yes it certainly is heartbreaking ,but also the thought of a family with youngsters having one and pup declining is also too much to accept .
I am so sorry about the precious puppies, Dawn. It's so sad and heartbreaking, but you did what you knew was the best thing to do. It's been delightful seeing their pictures when we thought all was well. Hugs.
