My walks these days (when it stops raining) always seem to be taking me into Stanley Park.
This is another shot from the Stanley Park seawall, looking towards the West End of Vancouver. The main downtown buildings are out of shot to the left, but my apartment building is visible on the far left.
There was a lot of low cloud and it was starting to pick up the reflections of the street lights, especially on the left hand side. I don't usually like this, but in this case I don't mind the gentle gradation from pink to blue.

Really beautiful, Alexis. I'm always blown away by the concentration of population in Vancouver. Those high rise apartment buildings are really packed together and this is such a beautiful capture of them. It's something we just don't see in these parts of the American west.
@claeshields The downtown peninsula is surrounded by water on three sides (and Canada's poorest postal code on the fourth), so the only way to go is up!
However, the Vancouver City Council does have 'view protection guidelines' to maintain viewlines to the mountains and water, so while we have a lot of high-rise buildings, we have very few real skyscrapers -- Vancouver's tallest building is only the 21st tallest in Canada.
We havent had rain in ages. Today they forecast storms, but nothing yet. They are forecasting storms all week, hope not but would just like the rain. anyway...love the reflection in this shot Alexis...really beautiful.
We were out walking this area every day! We loved it too!
Your pictures capture the beauty of Vancouver so well! So glad you share your pictures of my favourite Canadian city :)
