I'm a British software developer and photographer living in Vancouver, BC. I mainly photograph landscapes, cityscapes, night scenes, and water.

If you're interested in any of the settings I used or post-processing done on my photos, don't hesitate to ask!

I don't manage to do a 'true' project, posting a photo every day, but this project does encourage me to take photographs and post more often than I otherwise might. I typically post a photo every two or three days.

=== Contact Me ===

If you have any questions about my photographs, please feel free to ask them in a comment. I will try and answer all questions.

If you would like my advice on one of your photos, mention me in a comment on that photo and I'll try and stop by.

If you want to contact me privately, the best way to do so is to send me a message via my website, and I'll get back to you via e-mail:

=== Purchase Prints ===

Due to popular demand I make a number of photos available to purchase as prints in various sizes, on various mediums (photo paper, canvas, etc.) and with or without frames. If there's a photo you like that you can't see on there, drop me a message!

Many thanks for your support!

=== Tools ===

I've written a couple of tools that provide function for 365project users. These are generally written in a few minutes and are fairly lacking in design, but some people find them useful. I make no guarantees that they will work for you, but if you do find a problem with them, contact me (see above) and I'll try and sort it out.

-- Popular Page Stats --

This page lets you look up which of your photos appeared on the popular page, and for how long. Note that it only has data going back as far as the end of April 2013.

-- Random Photos --

This page selects 30 random photos from the entirety of the 365project site. This is a neat way to find photos or photographers you might not necessarily have been aware of:

-- Google Chrome Extension --

Get alerted to new 365project.org notifications immediately, even if you're not on the site. Requires the Google Chrome browser:

=== Social Networks ===

I'm a member of a number of social networks where you can follow me:

-- Flickr --

Most of the photos I'm proud of end up on Flickr within a few days. This is the best place to view my photos if you want to see all the detail in them:

-- Twitter --

My postings on Twitter are both of a photographic nature and of a software development nature, so may not appeal to everyone. However, I will post photos from my camera phone on Twitter, which usually don't make it anywhere else!

-- Facebook --

Almost all the same photos that I post here I also post on my Facebook page, so it's another good place to see higher-resolution versions of my work. If you'd like to be kept updated with my work via Facebook, please like my page!

-- Google+ --

I don't use Google+ as much as I should do, but if you do, please add me to a circle -- the more people who do so, the more I'll be reminded to use Google+ more regularly!

=== Copyright and Commercial Licensing ===

Unless otherwise noted, all photos on this site and the above sites are © Alexis Birkill, and may not be used without my permission. If you wish to license one of my photographs for commercial use, please check to see if it is available via Getty Images:

If not, please contact me to arrange licensing.
