'Tis the season...

...for bokeh. So who am I, especially when feeling not particularly photographically motivated, to resist?

Christmas Lights at the end of the Robson Square Ice Rink (the roof of which can be made out, lit by purple and blue LEDs).

16-35mm lens at 20mm f/4.0, handheld at ISO 6400. This is one type of shot that rarely looks bad with a bit of noise.

Color is great, and the lens shows beautiful circles that fade nicely without any hard edges. I like the "no subject" idea, just the fuzzed background, which after all was the point of the shot to start with. Love the shot.

@brav Unfortunately my skills on the ice are such that doing that would almost certainly result in me multiplying the number of pieces my camera is in (and ending up with a mirror-image Canon logo permanently embossed on my sternum!)
