The snowmelt is well underway at the moment, which means that the rivers around North Vancouver are full and fast-moving.
This is the Capilano River, just below the Cleveland Dam. The dam is currently letting a lot of water through, to keep Capilano Lake, above it, at the correct level.
The spray at the viewing point was enough to cover the camera and lens in mist within a couple of seconds. I kept the lens clean and sheltered until the moment I took the shot, to reduce the effect of the mist on the photo.

+Fav Alexis. I haven't been to the Cleveland Dam in ages, and never during the flow. I envy you your access to such amazing scenery, I have to get off The Rock soon!
@cameronknowlton Thank you :) I'm surprised how few waterfalls there are on the North Shore (this one, of course, being man-made). It seems like ideal terrain. I need to get over to Bridal Veil Falls (the one near Chilliwack, not in Yosemite) -- I bet that's impressive at the moment!
@stoat You are yes -- not only scary in height but also scary in commercialization! The suspension bridge is just south of this park (further down the river) and it costs $32 per adult to enter! Despite this, the car park is always full on a nice day. Definitely a license to print money!
There is a very similar suspension bridge in Lynn Canyon (where I took the previous photo, incidentally) which is not quite as long or as high, but is free -- that's where the locals go! :)
