Dit brengt herinneringen terug van heel lang geleden. In 1945 is mijn geboorte plaats gebombardeerd. Heb in mijn vroege jeugd altijd op de puinhoop restanten gespeeld. Het puin werdt gemalen en verwerkt in het beton voor nieuwbouw, ergens anders.
A picture like this fills me with sadness. We see these demolitions continuously all over Malta these last ten years. They have given way to modern characterless apartment blocks and have completely changed the looks of the place, unfortunately for us, for the worse.
