Spiky bug!

Spotted this caterpillar as I was dashing off to my volunteering shift this morning. For some reason the camera wouldn't actually focus where I wanted it to, so Mr. Caterpillar has a focussed head and a fuzzy body (or I have pics with the other option too!).

Very cool. That's one of the biggest challenges with close-up work. The closer you get the less you can get into focus ... and the camera manufactures haven't figure out how to add the mind-reading module yet ;-)

Yeah, why does that happen at times? In this instance however, the effect is excellent. I wonder if this is one of those fuzzy caterpillars that make you itchy if you touch them?
