Couldn't find much to target today, so went back to playing with water... Sadly I couldn't get the DOF right for blurring the background, so you can still see that it's a towel! I like the reflected texture in the drip though, and the shape of it...
@bobfoto The white vignetting was post-production. I spent ages putting it in and taking it out and finally decided I liked how it matched the reflection of the white sink in the drop (and covered some annoying creases in the corner!).
@marytj my top drip tips: 1. Make sure the tap is dripping quite fast - better chance of catching something interesting, 2. Take LOTS of pics, 3. Use flash, and 4. (from @lbmcshutter) use a coloured/patterned/textured background to make the drops more interesting. Oh, and 5: have lots of fun!
That said, I still have a long way to go with my drip photography too :)
