I've mentioned my girls' handedness a couple of times, so here's a pic of it in action... see if you can work out who's who!
Individuals of some species of parrot have the same dominant foot (often left), though individuals of other species have their own preferences, as with my sun conures. Young parrots often experiment with both feet before settling on one. They often have a dominant eye too (as do humans!), which is more often than not the same side as their dominant foot (but not always).
H is also for holiday... This is a very rushed post to get today's pic up before we head off for a week. The place we're going has no internet so no pics or comments from me for a week. Pics for I-N will get taken (but will be sun-conure free) and uploaded when I get back. See you all then!
Fabulous! Phoenix up high on right, Magic lower and on left
This photo really shows Phoenix's colours beautifully, Magic seems to be truing to blend into the background and escape notice
Beautiful birds and their colors are so vibrant! Those girls just radiate with happiness and you capture their personalities so well. Phoenix on the right and Magic on the left???
I agree with the others, I think Phoenix is up high because I'm pretty sure you said she has the leg band. I haven't gone back to check though. Enjoy your time off Alia :)
