These pics were all taken within a couple of minutes of each other, in opposite directions outside our rented holiday cottage.
The Moon emits no light of its own, just reflecting light from the Sun. It's position in orbit around the Earth affects what proportion of it appears lit. Full Moons occur when the Moon and Sun are directly opposite each other in the sky, and New Moons are when the Moon is between the Earth and Sun. Because both the Earth and Moon's orbits wobble a little, we only see eclipses periodically, when the Moon and Sun appear to line up as viewed from Earth.
Because both the Moon and Sun were visible at the same time, just before sunset, we can tell that this pic was taken just before the Full Moon :)
Or we could just look and think how amazing and pretty the Universe is...
I looked and thought how alike we humans are. I was in Perth and couldn't resist photographing the full moon rising over the city and the sun setting over the Indian Ocean...Love your presentationas a collage.
