Sorry, another uninspired, last-minute pic!
Today's word was 'well'. I can't remember if the book meant the wet kind or the health kind, but I went with the later. A few friends and I have just started a challenge at work to walk 10000 steps a day for the next 5 weeks. Of course, they couldn't start it last week, when I had two intensive dance classes (other forms of exercise also count - there's a conversion chart!) or others did big cycle events... No, they start today when I had to fight through students just to get out of my office to get lunch (two major assignments due this week, so they all want help, right at the last minute!). Oh well, maybe I can make up for it later...
(Oh - the pic is the pedometer I got when I registered on the challenge!)
Good luck with the 10,000 steps challenge. I did it last year and the scary thing is you don't realise how many steps you don't walk when you sit at your desk all day!
Oh, you'll make that 1000 steps easily. Don't take the elevator or escalator and park at the back of the parking lot (if you drive to work). What a great idea though. And ok, busy time- we'll cut you some slack on the shot! (o:
It's work I tell you - no good for these challenges!. I'd clocked 10,000 by 4pm, and I'm pushing 14,000 now! never got that while I was in the office. I also never thought running around after 2 kids would actually yield so many steps!
Pedometers are great. Mine inspires me to go the distance on my walks. Good for you signing up for the challenge-- especially when students want your attention you have to take care of yourself.
Good luck on your challenge. I've been trying to do the same, only I'm not signed up for a challenge I've just challenged myself. ~ It starts out hard, but soon its gets easier!
