We were in Melbourne for a concert last night. On the way to the venue we crossed a bridge and spotted this guy having a nap. He had a bit of a look at us as we passed, then went back to sleep :)
A bit blurry cos it was taken with my phone.
(I was actually pretty miffed - I left my camera at home, as most venues get pretty stroppy about them at shows. Then spent half the concert watching the show through other people's phone screens. I think concerts should have tickets for those who want to record the whole thing, and tickets for those who'd actually like to watch it!).
He looks a bit ruffled but I like the detail of his feathers. I think it's awful that some people cannot enjoy something anymore but have to record every bit of it, which they will probably never watch...
It's been a long time since I went to a concert like that, but I think they'd confiscate your phone if they caught you in the states doing that. Our "professionals" are so interested in royalties and copyright laws. That being said, it is annoying when anyone stands there recording the event and you can't see around them- that seems to be the nature of any program here that invovles children. Moms, dads, grandmas, etc. it's really obnoxious. I understand the desire to record their cuteness for posterity but Janna Ellen is right- how often will this recording actually be watched and when you're recording it, you don't really enjoy the moment. You're thinking more about the camera! Ok, so now I've had my soapbox fix for the day! The picture is a great catch! It seems so strange that this fellow decided to nap there- on what looks to be a girder of a bridge! Doesn't seem all that comfortable to me! Maybe that's why he looks so unhappy! Good eye to catch it!
