I picked out Mavis, the Hawksbill Turtle as my 'subject' for Tuesdays this month. She was a gift from a friend who sponsored an endangered turtle through WWF on my behalf. As you can see, Mavis wasn't very impressed at having to travel in my bag today!
Love her! Wonder if she'll look happier next week! What a great present, my kids want me to get a new pet and I've conceded that I've always wanted a tortoise (which the cats are unlikely to eat which is indeed the case with most of their suggestions)... perhaps a toy one would fool them. For a millisecond?!
