Same something #5 - Same September

Today was a day of lasts - last day in September, last day of the Same challenge, and the last day before my best friend Karen moves overseas to work in Japan for 2 years. She stayed at our house overnight, then we took her to the airport to start her new adventure this afternoon. She is also the girls' favourite parrotsitter, so both Magic and Phoenix spent time snuggling up to her too. I grabbed this shot while Magic and Karen watched TV. (Phoenix was on the blinds nearby, but I couldn't get them all in shot).

Love the strong low key effect - somehow conveys a touch of sorrow and yet is not depressive in any way - especially with Magic watching t.v.! All the best to your friend - and to you - apparently the cherry blossom in Japan is worth taking a camera!
