I love that my calling was to be a teacher. I've just spent all day at a teaching and learning seminar, surrounded by like-minded colleagues, learning and sharing exciting things we can do to improve our teaching next semester. (I work at a university). This is the teaching philosophy I put together as part of my teaching portfolio a few years ago. I read it today and found that it fits better than ever. (The tiny calendar quote in the bottom corner reads "I forget what I was taught. I only remember what I have learnt. -- Patrick White" It's there as a reminder to me that good teaching is always about the student, not the teacher.
This is just wonderful alia ...and the words so touching...I am glad to know there are still teachers like you out there! You deserve to be highly praised and highly PAID!! Thank you for all you do ..i bet you are a favorite teacher! FAV!
If the student wants to learn they will but having a teacher that teaches to their learning method is priceless. Don't discount what a good teacher brings to the experience. I bet you are one of them. :-)
Good job, this month. It's been fun to follow you on this. I bet when you started, you didn't think there would be much to fill this month but I see you have lots to be thankful for, too. :-)
and I am Thankful that you kept me company this month. It was fun and fascinating to get to know a bit more about a noter bird loving, parrot owned, teacher
I`ve done several professions in my live but only the ones I liked. The last one I`m still doing is teaching children. Good guide to remember why we doing it.
What a great sentimental shot! I love that quote! It suits teachers around the world I think! Kudos to you for teaching the young adults new things before they venture out into the great unknown on their own! Well done! (Sorry I am so late in commenting. I've been off 365 for a bit!)
I'm sure you are a very passionate teacher and bring science to life for your students. Coming from a family of teachers, I've always had a deep respect for the commitment this calling requires. Good job Alia!!
