This morning my friend and I explored Holyroodhouse, one of the Queen's residences in Scotland, and somewhere Mary Queen of Scots lived in the 1500s. The architecture and furnishings were beautiful (photography was not allowed inside).
I'm not sure if this will work, but I've made a ZM map of my UK travels here: http://bit.ly/1wSw6KE I'll add to it as my journey progresses....
PS This pic looks pretty good on black, if I do say so myself :)
I recognised the place immediately I saw your shot - a wonderful palace to visit. I have been there some 15 years ago. Two persons who have always been very interesting to me from English history books are Mary, Queen of Scots and Richard III.
@sangwann You should look out for my pic at the weekend then - I'm going to the new Richard III exhibition in Leicester :) (I'm really interested in his story too. You should check out the free FutureLearn course 'England in the time of King Richard III' too: https://www.futurelearn.com/courses/england-of-richard-third).
@alia_801 Thanks, I will check out that site. Not long ago I saw a documentary on Discovery Channel showing how the remains of King Richard were found and how they ascertained that it was really him.
