We had a day trip today - can you tell where to? :)
Well done everyone who guessed Paris :)
Locations were:
Main pic = Sacre Coeur
Clockwise from top right: Eiffel Tower, Pantheon, Pompidou Centre, Moulin Rouge, window in Notre Dame, outside of Notre Dame, crowd outside Notre Dame paying respect to one of the victims of the Charlie Hebdo murders.
Ahhhh I know EXACTLY where you were .. in an instant! Sigh...such a lovely place though a bit sad in many ways right now! Beautifull collage of one of the most ( if not THE most) beautiful cities in the world!!
Great set of shots, Alia. Nice collage. The only photo that I somewhat recognize at all is the top right. That looks like part of the Eiffel Tower. Is Paris really a day trip from England?
@lellie It was Sacre Coeur :) Did you get any of the others? @nanderson It felt like everywhere (in Paris, at least!). Other Half's pedometer said we did over 30000 steps! @eyesmile I found some parts beautiful, but others much less so. My first impression was from the streets around Gare du Nord, which are very grey and run down. The more modern bits were definitely pretty, but my favourite is still the view from Sacre Coeur. @prttblues Well done, that was part of the Eiffel Tower. I've added captions to identify the other spots now too. It is indeed a daytrip from London (might take a bit longer if you live in Scotland!). We got the Eurostar at 7am and got back to London at 8:30pm. @sangwann I saw the outside of the Moulin Rouge, but it was at about 11am and not really open yet. My ballet teacher in Aus was a Moulin Rouge dancer for several years in the past :) @pyrrhula We saw the outside of the Pompidou Centre, but didn't have time to go in.
