For the last 10 months, the Aladdin musical has been playing in our city, at the theatre where I volunteer as a first aider. Last night was the last show, before it moves on to Brisbane. I was there on the first night, and there for closing night too. It was a great show, but a bit sad...
On the up side, this show is one of the reasons I've been absent from 365 so much lately, so I might post a bit more regularly now... at least until the next show starts in a few weeks!
@bruni 10 months is a long time for a 'touring' show - usually they're more like 2-4 months. For most of the year I was at some of the weeknight evening performances, and evening and/or matinee shifts at weekends. During the Xmas break, I was there for nearly all the performances! First aid people from across the state cover the shifts, but I was there for a LOT of them :)
@olivetreeann Next we have "Beautiful: The Carole King Story", then "Rocky Horror Show", a week of ballet, and they just announced today that "School of Rock" will be here in October :)
