Back in November I used a photo of my father as my photo of the day: http://365project.org/allie912/365/2010-11-21 This framed portrait is of my husband's father and grandmother. It is a reproduction sent to John by his sister. She attached a date of 1908 to the frame. I never knew John's father or grandmother so this picture is very special.
very nice reproduction. familly history is so important, and photo are especially precious since they were expensive and not many were taken and fewer survive.
I love old photos, too. I have scanned many of my mom's old photos of the family. It's really great to see resemblances from one generation to the next.
