The Living Wax Museum

These are just a few of the 4th graders from the "Hooked on Books" reading enrichment camp at my school. This group spent their 2 week session choosing a historic person and researching about his life. This morning they displayed their knowledge by putting on a living wax museum for the younger students. Ech wax figure has an "on" button. Once the button is pushed (by a member of the audience) the figure comes to life and presents his story to the audience. They all did a great job.
I have deliberately left off the identifying signs. Do you think you can name these famous figures? Use the magnifying glass for a detailed view. Answer tomorrow.

What a great activity! I would like to get my older students to do something like this, but I don't know if it would interest them. Here's my guesses....1. I think the first one is holding a writing utensil, so I'll say Thomas Jefferson. 2. The hair makes me think of Cleopatra. 3. I think he's a French painter, so I'll say Vincent Van Gogh....?, and 4. Jane Goodall??
