I rarely use my rice cooker because frankly, preparing rice in a sauce pan is just as easy, but my DIL sent me a recipe which added chicken stock, garlic, sesame oil, fresh ginger and some scallion stems as the rice cooks. When served with chicken, it was a co-star instead of part of the background. I’ll have to explore other possibilities.
