It was the cricket World Cup final today and as India were playing (against Sri Lanka), and obvioulsy because Sangeeta is Indian, we joined over 1.5 billion others around the world and watched the action.
Because the game was on Sky TV and as we don't pay for the subscricption, it meant we had to find the game streamed online then connect the laptop to the TV to watch the action (tut tut).
The picture wasn't great quality but good enough... This was taken after the Sri Lanken innings.. I quickly popped out to a tree just down the road from Sangeeta's house to where there is a glorious magnolia tree in full bloom..
As for the game.. Well, Sri Lanka posted an impressive 274-6 but India were in control throughout their innings and won quite easily... Much happiness in the Sangeeta household and many jubilant phone calls to and from India after the game...

I spent 6.5 years in the UK and was amazed at how popular crickte was amongst my Indian colleagues...to the extent that when India was playing, people kept popping in and out of the doctors' quarters for a couple of minutes just to check the score and go back to work hehehe...was great to see the enthusiasm and I even started to feel part of it, until i returned to Malta 3 years ago that is (cricket is not popular here in Malta) :)))
It was a great game! We don't have the facility to see it either so I was following on radio and pc live comments. Still you had time to pop out a get a great magnolia shot :-)
