The Smoker

Had to pop up to central London after work which gave me another chance to get some candid street photography in.

Instead of lugging about a DSLR, I thought I'd use my P&S... The plus point means it's much easier to get a sneaky shot but the downside is a drop in quality... Especially when taking shots whilst on the move..

And so to this shot... I was walking down Regent Street, roughly opposite Liberty's and spied this guy in a side street having a smoke checking his mobile and knew I just had to grab a snap...

This was taken pausing mid step holding the camera at waist height.. Actually took a couple of fairly decent pics this way which I'll upload to my 3rd album over time..

Found this there :-) Do you know I have become so old....I love the shot and the way you took it.....but look at this guy....he's really dragging on his fag, he's got slicked up hair, trousers that don't fit, yet I guess he is considered cool??
