My work place is situated on the edge of the forest of Hammer Bakker, and when I leave the parking lot I usually turn left to head home… today I turned right and took a small detour deeper into the forest… As you can maybe glimpse there is a bit of snow on the ground and the air is frosty and clear... It's like a vitamin injection to stand here for a while and listen to the quiet sounds of the forest... or more precisely the quiet sounds of the forest together with my tinnitus...
Tinnitus have been my lifelong companion since I've had it for as long as I can remember. Luckily I manage to live with this condition just fine and rarely think about it ... but - when I'm in a forest I almost always wonder what a forest may sound like to people not having tinnitus... well... I guess I'll never know... and you know what - that's fine by me... I still love listening to the forest :-)).
