The leaves on the huge beech tree standing at one of our gables have just started to unfold… this is a sure sign of warmer weather, and I have been looking forward to this every spring since we moved in 3 years ago…
But... a doubt has been raised yesterday - is it really a beech tree? Or is it an elm tree? ... Hmmm...

When looking at the shape of the leaves I'm thinking it's a beech tree but it never carries any beech nuts... so maybe it's an elm after all...
I must find out for sure... it's frustrating and embarrasing not knowing :-)
