Ancient Pedunculate Oak Tree - 25-1

Ancient Pedunculate Oak Tree. The tree may date from 1350-1450 (using John White's 1998 paper to estimate its age) and as there are quite low branches the tree's immediate area may well have been clear of other trees then.
This tree resides in my village and I thought it may make an interesting subject to day. It is so grey and cold that I thought I would try out a bit of sepia toning.
What an amazing image. Is the tree hollow? It reminds me of The Kraken, writhing out of the sea to capture a passing ship!

@alpacajo Yes it is hollow I think its a survival thing that oak trees do. Reading back my description I think it was inappropriate of me to say the tree resides in my village it is obviously the other way round.
