The Green-veined White can be found throughout the countryside, but prefers damp, sheltered areas. This butterfly is common and widespread in Britain and Ireland, but it is probably less abundant than formerly due to loss of its grassland habitats.

Lovely shot, a lot of the insects that ued to be so common become fewer these days due to loss of their habitats, mostly for their caterpillars, since they often feed on one single type of plant
