Congrats. How did the 8 miles fo? I miss all that action. When I was in college I ran and played tennis. After college, I did karate, golfing, tennis, ran, but then my knees and back began giving out. Had to give it all up. I miss it all.
@srigdon nope. besides the stupid-ridiculous FOUR upcoming local runs i've signed up for (10k, 8k, 5k, and frigid 5) i'm doing the austin half feb 20. i'm not sure if i realize i'm not a runner...
@digitalrn it was not pretty. i've played tennis from the time i was around 10--i haven't played in a while though! i'm sure you do miss all those activities.
I've registered for a half marathon in March (in Carey, NC, the Tobacco Road race), so I need to work my way back up. I envy your 8 miles at this point! Nice way to display the number!
I just got rid of my pumpkins! And I'm also jealous of your 8 miles. I am supposed to be running a 10k in April, not that I'll be anywhere near ready for it!
Very creative use of your lovely pumpkins!
Good for you on the 8 miles! I ran 2 yesterday...and wimped out today. Sigh. My cousin is dong the Austin full-trying to quality for Boston.
I'm planning on doing the OKC Half again this year. We'll see.
Oh, and I'm not a runner, but I do manage to trudge along slowly. :)
@jjsooner i'm preparing for the austin half as well! not, i repeat, NOT trying to qualify for boston.
are you doing any of the 'frozen nose' series? the first one is this weekend (10k).
