i love this shot of my happy boy and his sweet smile from our trip to colorado. i'm posting it for today because he had a bit of 'grey skies' this morning--we received his class list, and he found out one of his favorite friends is once again not in his class. but my sunshine-boy was bouncing back in no time; he adores his teacher, he has plenty of buddies in the group, and he was reassured that God knows exactly what is best!
Your story reminded me of my own 6th grade year. I was devastated when my best friend and I weren't in the same class. It was so disappointing! How dare those teachers separate us! Years later, I was having dinner with that same 6th grade teacher while in Austin for work. I brought up that year and how mad we had been at the teachers/school. She laughed and said it was actually by parental request. LOL. Our parents thought it would be good if we were apart and made other friends. Little did we realize that then....but I will say that this person is still among my closest friends. We've known each other since 1978 (kindergarten)!
