that bump on a log you see laying under a blanket on my couch is my eldest. and he's laying there in the darkened room for good reason--he got quite a few 'bumps' today in football practice. he was playing offense against the varsity defense and was on the receiving end of several big hits. his sweet cousin who's also on the team saw that he was acting a little strangely (he couldn't remember his cousin's middle name--and it's OUR LAST NAME! yikes.) and pulled him aside to alert the coach. he sat him out immediately, and he's been resting ever since. and he's had one humdinger of a headache all day!!
