when we planned our trip to maine, i looked at the usa cycling calendar to see if there were any events nearby for my cyclist to enter. i found the concord criterium, the new england crit championships, and my boy was excited to make it his first race since moving up to cat3. the competition was pretty fierce, and it began pouring rain, but he managed to stay with the main pack and finish 19th out of 40 racers. it made for an awesome end to our undisputed 'favorite family vacation' winner of a trip!
