friday night before the football game we stopped in okarche, oklahoma for eischen's fried chicken & okra. it's famous for having THE BEST fried chicken around, and also for being the oldest bar in oklahoma (it opened in 1896--before statehood!)
you can see the grease glistening on the food in this shot. that's the goodness. (:
@clarissajohal It's an Oklahoma staple, though I'm one of the few people I know here who doens't like okra period.
